SOLD
Jaquamanda is a 36′ trad-stern narrowboat believed built in the late 1970’s
She was blacked with anodes replaced in 2017 and a new engine fitted in 2015
She is sold as a “project boat” requiring immediate re-fabrication of weed hatch and gas-locker. The locker is not safe for gas to be on board
Survey last year identified deep pitting in the hull and extensive over-plating of the whole hull is recommended
Owner was intending to get this work completed. Work must be completed if she is to be used as a cruiser or live-aboard

Surveyor's Report
2021 Survey – Summary of report
- The LPG locker must be rebuilt as it is perforated and the overboard drain is at the waterline and perforated. The drain must be welded and re-positioned as overloading the boat will cause water to flood the hull
- Gas locker is not compliant with Boat Safety regulations and must not be used
- The hull requires over-plating with 5 or 6mm steel to a height above the waterline. The hull thickness was originally nominal 5mm. The Surveyor’s measurements average 4.6mm with isolated area at 4.1mm. Pitting presents thickness of 3mm with isolated areas at 2.5mm.
- Toilet seacocks should be serviced
- The multifuel stove and fuel system should be serviced
- Fuel tank should be cleaned of corrosion and painted
- Propeller shaft seal should be serviced
- Rudder stock should be closely checked
